Sie stellten sich als „Berliner Band“ vor, aber daran war wohl nur richtig, dass sie alle in Berlin wohnen. Ein furioses Feuerwerk, wie es in den Tabancas von Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusien, dem Geburtsort des Flamencos, kaum eindrucksvoller zu erleben ist, wurde gestern Abend im Botanischen Garten in der Reihe der Sommerkonzerte gezündet. Der Gitarrist Abel Sánchez, die Sängerin Elena Botica, der Perkussionist Antonio Piñera, der syrische Musiker Ayman Hlal und eine wunderbare Tänzerin, deren Name leider im Jubel des Publikums unterging, verwandelten die Rückseite des Gewächshauses im Botanischen Garten in eine andalusische Tabanca - fehlte eigentlich nur noch der Sherry. Der bekannte Flamencotänzer und Choreograph Vicente Escudero gab zehn Ratschläge an Tänzer. Der letzte lautete: „Lograr variedad de sonidos con el corazon sin chapas en los zapatos y son otros accesorios“ (Erzeuge eine Vielfalt von Tönen ohne Platten in den Schuhen und ohne anderes Zubehör, sondern nur mit dem Herzen!). Die Wirksamkeit dieses Ratschlages konnte man gestern Abend bestätigt sehen. In einem wunderbaren Duett von Elena Botica(Gesang) und Ayman Hlal (Violine) wurden die maurischen Wurzeln der Bulería frei gelegt. Ein mächtiges Gewitter beendete das Konzert leider etwas vorzeitig, nicht aber die gute Stimmung.
